FAQ's

1.  Can any dancer become part of the Pre-Professional Program?

a:  Yes!  We welcome all dancers and levels to be a part of our pre-pro program.  We have different classes that cater to the beginner, intermediate, and advanced level pre-professional.  Whether your dancer is 5 years old or 14 years old, as long as they have the drive and passion to train at a higher level, we will work to find a class and level fit for them!

2.  What level should I enroll my dancer in at Intrigue?

a.  After filling out the form below, we can invite your dancer in for a free trial class or level placement assessment.  Based on their age and prior dance training, we will then assess your dancer and give a proper placement level for them for the school year. 

*Please note that dancers may move up or down a level depending on their improvement throughout the school year.

3.  Will my dancer automatically be invited to IDC (Intrigue Dance Company) upon acceptance into the pre-professional program?

a.  No, your dancer will have to apply and show interest in IDC to be considered to join the company.  If your dancer is interested, please check the applicable boxes in form below, and we will assess for acceptance into the company during level placement.

4.  Does my dancer have to take all the classes listed in their pre-pro level?

a.  We highly encourage all dancers to take the full allotment of classes for their level.  All IDC members must take the full program available to them.  For regular pre-pro members, if adjustments do have to be made, we require the full program of ballet and jazz/contemporary classes for their level.  We can discuss the omission of hip hop, acro, and/or tap to their program.

5.  Can my dancer handle the workload?

a.  Absolutely.  We find that dancers enrolled in our pre-professional program are actually better at time management, have excellent marks in school, and are more organized than the average student.  Due to the demand on their schedules, the dancers learn to become efficient, organized, and keen with their schedules, studies, and workload.
